The journey of Eight of Hearts began in 2017 during my freshman year of college, following an event that changed everything: the loss of my best friend and brother, David, to suicide.

That heartbreak altered my path forever. To honor David and transform my pain into something meaningful, I dedicated myself to two dreams: acting and creating a clothing brand with real substance.

I wanted a name that was simple but resonated with my story. The ‘8’ represents my brother, a number he wore proudly in sports growing up. The heart symbolizes love, passion, and positivity.

Months after David’s passing, during a visit to his grave, I looked up and saw a heart-shaped cloud in the sky. I felt him with me. A month later, during another visit, I looked up again and saw an ‘8’ formed by openings in the clouds. Seeing the heart and 8 together made the name “Eight of Hearts” crystal clear.

The result is Eight of Hearts: A unique mental health brand that pairs a street-style aesthetic with a message of hope. Every piece is deeply personal—it's about wearing your heart on your sleeve and committing to spreading positivity.
